iPhone and iPad repair in Lake Zurich
Broken glass, a battery that gives out early, a port that stopped charging: walk in with the iPhone or iPad any day from Monday to Saturday, no appointment. Nothing is repaired until you have seen the quote.
iPhone and iPad screen, battery and charging problems
- Cracked iPhone screens
- Cracked iPad glass
- Lines, dark patches or dead touch spots
- Batteries that don't last the day
- Swollen batteries
- iPhones and iPads that won't charge
Screen damage: glass or display?
A crack over a sharp picture, with touch working across the whole screen, may be limited to the glass. Lines, colored or dark patches, flicker, or areas that ignore your finger mean the display underneath is hurt too.
The model decides what the repair involves, so note it before you visit. While the screen still works, it's in Settings, under General, then About.
Battery and charging problems
An iPhone that needs a top-up by mid-afternoon, or dies with charge still on the meter, usually has a worn battery. On most models, Settings, then Battery, shows its health.
A gap opening along one edge of the screen, or a case that rocks when laid on a table, can mean the battery has swollen. Stop charging it, power it down and bring it in.
Charging that cuts in and out as the plug wiggles can be the port or just a worn cable, so test another cable and plug first. If a known-good one behaves the same, bring the device in with your everyday cable and plug.
If your iPhone or iPad got wet
Power it down and keep it that way. Don't plug it in to find out whether it survived. Bring it in soon and tell us what kind of liquid it was. We check it before quoting, and a repair after water damage can't be guaranteed.
How a repair works at our counter
Prefer to begin online? Our repair request form takes the model and the problem, and we answer by text or email with a quote.
- Walk in with the iPhone or iPad. No appointment.
- Show us the problem and give us the model if you know it.
- We track down the actual fault. A diagnosis and a quote back the same business day.
- There is a diagnostic fee, and it goes toward the repair.
- We start the repair only after you say yes.
Make a backup before the repair
While it still works, make a fresh backup. iCloud Backup runs over Wi-Fi, and a Mac or Windows PC can keep a full backup over the cable. Then nothing on the device depends on the repair.
For your home or business computers, we set up automatic backups too; see data recovery and backup.

Common questions
- Do I need an appointment?
- No. Walk in during store hours, Monday to Saturday. Questions before you come? Call 847-381-7960.
- Can I keep using a cracked iPhone until I get there?
- If the picture and touch still work, yes, with care. Put clear tape or a screen protector over the crack so loose glass can't cut you, and make a backup now in case the screen stops responding.
- Is it worth repairing an older iPhone or iPad?
- Sometimes it isn't. If the quote comes close to the price of a newer device, replacing it may make more sense. You look at the quote first and make the call before any work starts.
